Life In Idle – Waterwell (Single Review)
Lyrically cohesive and impactful, Life In Idle’s new single Waterwell does not lie flat, it
pushes the pop punk sound to the max, and fundamentally offers the listeners a chance to
reflect on their own lives. It rallies home meaning and sincerity too, although the lyrics can be perceived as being pessimistic.
These words are intelligently weaved throughout the track, under the well textured instrumentals, which are technical and infectious. It is not a brightly lit song full of happy moments, as sometimes emotions run high and dreams fade. Truthfully, the song does well to entice melancholy to be the prominent fixture, but that does not damage the song’s quality, it even elevates it.
