Band of the Week – Bear Away

Bear Away are a melodic punk rock band from Scarborough, UK. Having formed in early 2019, four good friends and musicians from Yorkshire hardcore bands decided to make the music they all loved. With influences taken from Bouncing Souls and Hot Water Music, through to Menzingers and Iron Chic, they use these styles and add to them, creating their own catchy and powerful brand of melodic punk rock.

Tired Radio is Anthony Truzzolino and Anthony Truzzolino is Tired Radio. The band and the man are inseparable as each, in some part, defines the other. But Tired Radio is far more than a simple one man band and it isn’t just a solo project put together by a self-confessed professional cry baby. Tired Radio is the place where Anthony’s songs, dreams, hopes and ambitions soar. Tired Radio is where everything that Anthony is musically, with a little help from his friends, lives.

Band of the Week - Catapults

If you want to find yourself anew, start searching in the tried and tested. CATAPULTS from Oldenburg, Germany takes this attitude to heart on their debut album. The band celebrates a stirring mixture of emo and skate-punk in the tradition of great genre representatives such as Spanish Love Songs, The Hotelier or The Wonder Years, but still achieves a new independent sound with an inimitable DIY attitude and an infinite joy of playing. At the same time, the band is trying to find the new in the old. Up-Cycling plays a central role on the record and is therefore exactly the album the skate scene needed in a time of sustainability.

A Swift Farewell is a 4-piece alternative/pop-punk band hailing from Sydney, Australia. The band consists of Dwayne Morris (Drums), Emma Mather (Vocals), Sarah Bonnet (Bass) and Ryo Sprott (Guitar & Vocals). They take influence from Tonight Alive, Stand Atlantic, With Confidence and many more.

Band of the Week - Drive, Kid

Drive, Kid was founded in 2016 after college roommates Nick Manduley (guitar/vox) and Mark Rodriguez (guitar/keys/vox) began writing music together. After releasing a home-recorded acoustic demo tape, the duo added Connor Hastings (drums/percussion) and Stephen Bradford (bass/vox) to the lineup. In 2018, they released a full-band EP titled “Picturesque” and their debut LP “Enjoy Being.” Drive, Kid has played in numerous venues across New Jersey in support of their first LP, including House of Independents, The Saint, The Brighton Bar, The Stanhope House, and more.

Band of the Week - Last Letters

Last Letters is an American pop/punk band from Brooklyn, NY. Charles Iwuc is the sole writer for the group and records all the music in his home studio, Seagull Studios VI. After having followed the Vans Warped Tour in other bands, and playing in the beach-folk trio The Gulls, Charlie started writing the first set of songs for the project in the spring of ’16. The debut EP ‘Nothing to Write Home About’ was released the following fall via Old Sport Records.

Band of the Week - Gardner Leonard

Gardner Leonard are a West Midlands based pop-punk/emo duo consisting of Daryl Gardner & Rhiannon Leonard. Daryl Gardner is best known for his re-recording of Metallica’s 2003 album St. Anger, which went viral in 2015 receiving universal acclaim. After taking a few years away from music to focus on his career and personal well-being, he approached Rhiannon Leonard, a talented singer-songwriter that he knew from college, and through 2020 began sending ideas back and forth, before deciding to become a duo and self releasing their debut album ‘Milquetoast’ on January 15th 2021!
